Calday again made the final event of the English Schools Cross-country Cup last weekend in all age groups, including the new Senior (Years 11+) category.
On the day the lads ran superbly to overcome terrible weather conditions, both wind and hail, as well as the mud! The Junior Boys (Years 7/8) squad of Dominic Poulston, Joshua Hatton, Charlie Gardner, Conor Hartley and Thomas Irvin finished 17th out of 25 teams. The Intermediates (Years 9/10) squad of Louis Hatton, Oscar Kewley, Jamie Barnes, Tom Clegg, Tom Walker and Will Hampshire finished 10th out of 27 teams. Whilst, the Seniors squad of Daniel Hayes, Alex Poulston, Jack Bernhem, Luke Hampshire and Aiden Hampson came 5th team out of 26.
Thanks must be given to Mrs Mounsey and Mr Elliot without whom this trip would not have been possible.
