Calday Grange Grammar School are pleased to share the 2022 GCSE results achieved by our resilient Year 11 cohort. The year group should be proud of their efforts over recent years and we are certain they will join us in acknowledging the role played in these results by all the staff and families who have supported them.
97.2% of all GCSE entries were at grade 4 and above. The percentage of entries achieving grade 9 was 15.9% and grades 9-7 was 56.6%. Initial calculations of progress at the school, as measured by Progress 8, place us in a strong position and the figure compares extremely favourably to the national picture.
Once again, many students were entered for the E-Baccalaureate, with over three-quarters attaining grades 9 – 4 in the key subjects. Whilst we will not name individuals, there were again some outstanding performances from our students with a notable proportion obtaining the top grades across all of their subjects.
“I am absolutely delighted with these results. A huge amount of credit must go to the students, staff and parents/carers who have worked through some very challenging times. These results are testament to the resilience and hard work of our students and the whole school community is proud of these achievements. So many students exceeded expectations and can now go on to the next stage of their education or training with great confidence. I wish everybody well for the future and look forward to welcoming many students back into our Sixth Form.”
