‘Cells’, a renowned charity acclaimed for its impactful work with young people, hosted a series of engaging workshops aimed at guiding young people towards positive life choices. Known for its award-winning initiatives, Cells operates out of Liverpool and has earned widespread praise for its unique approach to youth engagement.

The charity’s staff, consisting of individuals who have personally navigated the challenges faced by today’s youth, including rehabilitated ex-offenders and victims of crime and abuse, bring a wealth of real-world experience to their roles. Their dedication is not just in sharing their stories but also in providing training and support to guide and motivate the participants throughout the sessions. This approach is central to Cells’ mission of deterring young people from making the same mistakes as their staff once did.

Throughout the day, our students engaged in four comprehensive workshops covering critical topics such as prison life, gun, gang, and knife crime, drug abuse, the impact of crime on families, and the dangers of controlling and exploitative relationships.

These workshops are designed to be educational and interactive, combining presentations, videos, role-play, group activities, and discussion periods to ensure a dynamic learning experience. The goal is to foster an environment where students can openly discuss these issues, ask questions, and gain insights from those who have firsthand experience.

Cells’ initiative represents a significant step in addressing the challenges faced by young people today. Through education, awareness, and the sharing of personal experiences, the charity aims to inspire and empower the next generation to make informed and positive life choices.
