On Wednesday, 15th May, a spirited charity football match between Calday Grange Grammar School and Hilbre High School culminated in a thrilling 4-2 victory for Calday Grange Grammar School. This special event, which took place at the esteemed Tranmere Rovers Football Club, saw a turnout of over 700 staff, students and parents from both school communities.
The excitement on the pitch was palpable as both teams displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill. Despite the competitive nature of the match, the true winner of the day was the Macmillan Cancer Charity, for whom an impressive £4,356 was raised. The event didn’t stop at the final whistle; a friendly penalty shootout followed the main game, with Hilbre High School emerging victorious.
