To assist the school community, the following resources are available:
On-site support at school in addition to school pastoral staff
- Health Services in Schools Youth Workers, Dr. Karen Smith (The Drop In Team Leader), and Kate McDonald (Response Counselling Coordinator) are ready to provide informal, non-counselling support for students. They are all extremely experienced and have supported schools in the aftermath of a tragedy such as this. This is not a counselling offer however they can be on hand to offer a listening ear for students, providing informal support.
Liscard Youth Space:
- Open from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, offering a safe space for young people to talk with youth workers. No appointment is needed.
Detached Youth Work Team:
- Led by Gary Atkinson and Katrina Maxwell, members of the team will be present in West Wirral and Moreton communities in the coming days. They will offer immediate listening support and help young people access appropriate services.
The Drop in at Pilgrim Street Youth Arts Centre:
- Open Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, for young people aged 11–18 (and up to 25 for those with SEND).
- Provides one-to-one support for issues like grief, anxiety or family challenges. No appointment required.

Family Hubs:
