Calday Grange Grammar School is thrilled to announce an extraordinary set of A Level results for 2024, marking a year of exceptional success and academic triumph. This year’s results are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students, staff and the entire school community, with improvements across the board that have set a new standard of excellence.
The school achieved a remarkable 99.5% overall pass rate at A Level, with 65.4% of students securing grades between A* and B. Notably, 37.9% of the grades awarded were A* to A.
This year’s average grade was a B, and students achieved an average of 39.84 points per entry. Furthermore, 46 students earned three or more A*-A grades across their subjects, highlighting the exceptional talent within the student body.
The school was buzzing with excitement as students opened their results to discover their hard-earned rewards. Headteacher Mr Stephen Gray shared his overwhelming pride and joy, saying, “I am absolutely delighted with this year’s A Level results. It was great to see so many happy faces in the school this morning as the students celebrated together and with staff”.
Mr Gray went on to say, “The students deserve great credit in achieving some impressive results, both personally and collectively for the school. I am particularly impressed with the number of A*s that were awarded and our A* to B rate is very strong. Many students will now commence studies or pursue other career paths and we wish them every success for the future.
I would like to thank not only the students, but also the staff for their hard work and parents/carers for their support, as this is what underpins individual and collective success.”
