The annual House Chess Competition at Calday Grange Grammar School saw 29 enthusiastic students from Years 7 and 8 compete in a thrilling chess ladder tournament. The event, filled with strategic battles and tense moments, showcased the exceptional talent and determination of our young players.
After a series of intense matches, it was Hollowell that emerged victorious, claiming ultimate glory in the competition. The road to victory, however, was anything but easy, as the battle for the top spot went right down to the wire. In a closely contested final, Terrence J delivered a remarkable performance, securing a narrow but well-earned victory.
Congratulations to all participants for their sportsmanship and dedication. Special recognition goes to Hollowell for their triumph and to Terrence for his outstanding display of skill under pressure. We look forward to another exciting competition next year!
